Remembering Rudi was the final short made for the DVD, almost as an afterthought. Says Producer Robert Sink: "I was riding the bus down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, minding my own business, thinking I was done with the DVD Project. All of a sudden I was given the inspiration that indeed Rudi's passing had to be acknowledged and put into perspective. I felt it was important to underscore the idea that Rudi's work was for nought unless we found renewed vigor to grow and reach beyond, in honor of the trail that Rudi had blazed for all of us. Remembering Rudi encapsulates the whole reason for creating the RUDI DVD in the first place."
There are two versions of Remembering Rudi. One version has the voice-over of Stuart Perrin who was in the plane with Rudi with two others when it crashed into the side of a mountain in the Catskills on February 21, 1973. The second version (same video) has the voice-over of Bruce Rubin, giving his perspective of what was happening back at the NYC ashram when the news came in, and the legacy that Rudi has left us all. VERSION ONE WITH STUART PERRIN (7 Min., 15 Sec.) HIGH BANDWIDTH (41 MB) |
